Benefit concert for Sustain-A-Scholar at Footsloggers

Sheila and Forest at the first Footsloggers Sustain-A-Scholar fundraiserSheila Ostroff and Footsloggers of Boone will be hosting a Sustain-A-Scholar Benefit Concert this Friday, October 1 from 6 pm – 10 pm (possibly later), in the courtyard of Footsloggers in downtown Boone.  This event will be taking place during this month’s Art Crawl, so come enjoy your Friday night downtown with some music and fun.  All proceeds will go to Sustain-A-Scholar, which focuses on educating youth where their food, water, and energy sources come from. Swift Science
Air Horse
The Early Morning Rebels

In addition to live music, there will be a raffle, hula-hooping, face painting,and another Footsteps to Peace Project.  A suggested donation of $5-10 automatically enters you to the raffle.  Additional raffle tickets will be $1 each, or 6 for $5.

Supporters of this event include Footsloggers, Appalachian Voices, Elkland Art Center,
Mountain PeaceMakers, and Kraut Creek Revival.
