We would like to thank everyone who made Friday night’s Jamming for Japan benefit concert such a success. The bands were awesome, the weather cooperated (until late night), and we had a blast! Check out some pictures from the event below, and thank you so much for making the night so fun! A big thanks goes to Thomas Kloepfer for doing such a great job organizing the event.
A message from Thomas:
Thank you to the community of Boone for coming together for such an amazing and generous event. We were able to raise over $1300.00 for the total event. It truly shows how much this community can think and act globally toward any cause.
I would like to thank all of the volunteers especially for being involved in the set up and breakdown of the event. They worked off and on for about 10 hours on Friday and created the tarp set up that kept everybody safe and dry.
Thank you to Sumilan, World Wide, Ital Seeds, Basshunter 64, Nomadic, and Orogenic for putting together an excellent collective of music and support.
I want to Thank all of the sponsors for putting food together: Our Daily Bread, Stick Boy, Bistro Roca, Marti’s at Midday, Ingles and Harris Teeter for their food contributions, and to Dave and Ian for cooking it up.
Thank you to all our sponsors outside of the community Patagonia, Montbell, Widespread Panic, and R.E.M. Thankyou to the sponsors within the Community for providing raffles: Neighborhood Yoga, Peabody’s, Dancing Moon, Bald Guy Brew, Bare Essentials, Glug, Simple Moon, and Matt Gould.
I hope that we can continue events like this and continue to use the courtyard area as a means for Concerts for a Cause. Thank you to Footsloggers for providing the space. Also thank you to all those involved at keeping the area dry and happening: Tsuga canopies and many others contributed their tents and tarps so much love goes out to them.
Peace and looking forward to organizing more events like this ,
Thomas Kloepfer
