Top rope Workshop
The 2-day top rope workshop is designed to provide technical proficiency in the set up of a top rope rock climbing site. Participants will gain a useful understanding, through exposure and practice, of the skills and systems needed to be independent at a top-roping rock site. The systems that will be taught are applicable if the cliff is accessible from the top.
This workshop is designed for climbers seeking to learn current techniques and materials for building the most efficient and technically wise top rope anchors, either as an introduction to become more independent at the crag or to hone existing skills. The workshop is also suitable as a preparatory training for individuals interested in taking the PCIA Base Managed Climbing Instructor Course (BMCI) and/or Exam (BMCE).
