Multi-pitch

Picture yourself on the side of a rock face, 200 or more feet off the ground, surrounded by expansive views with more rock above you! North Carolina has some of the finest granite for traditional multi-pitch climbing and each location has its own characteristics, from beautiful slabs to the rugged rock of Linville Gorge. Shiprock and Table Rock offer classically aesthetic routes for beginners to experienced climbers, as well as those interested in learning to lead.

Learn about traditional gear placement and removal, hanging belays (cordelettes), and practice more technical movement on rock. Routes range from 150 – 600 feet. Single-pitch guiding is also possible. Consider booking a weekday outing for a less crowded experience.
