Rock Dimensions’ lead climbing guides are certified through the Professional Climbing Instructors Association (PCIA), a national organization providing a consistent, standardized approach to climbing instruction. Rock Dimensions supports the belief that within the expanding and diverse arena of climbing opportunities, professional instructors should participate in formal training and evaluation. The exam component of all PCIA courses requires in-depth understanding and application of specific climbing skills, demonstrated appropriately and efficiently.

The PCIA is recognized by public land managers as a credible and reliable resource for climbing instruction.

PERMITS

Rock Dimensions operates under a Special Use Permit for guiding in Pisgah National Forest (Grandfather, Pisgah, and Nantahala Ranger Districts) and a Commercial Use Permit for guiding in areas of the Blue Ridge Parkway, National Park Service.
